SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Satellite Healthcare, a nonprofit, top-rated provider of kidney dialysis services and related patient services, celebrates the opening of its newly relocated and expanded center for patients who need training and support so they may receive kidney care treatment at home.
A special open house event was held Thursday, October 13, to commemorate the center’s facilities, which began serving patients in February. Due to concerns about the resurgence of the COVID-19 virus at the time, the opening celebration was delayed until this fall. The center moved to its current location from another facility, which was also housed in the Town and Country Village shopping center.
Satellite WellBound Centers are dedicated to serving home dialysis patients and their families, providing expert and ongoing support and training to meet each patient’s specific kidney care needs. Satellite has a long history of working closely with people who choose to receive their kidney dialysis at home and was the first healthcare company to introduce free-standing centers dedicated to home dialysis support and training in 2003.
This state-of-the-art facility, located at 2629 Marconi Avenue, Sacramento, Calif., boasts 10 special training rooms, which can accommodate several patients at a time. It’s open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 pm. to help meet patients’ schedules and needs for additional services such as follow-up lab work, routine check ins and troubleshooting. In addition, staff members are on-call after hours and on weekends to attend to patients’ dialysis-related needs.
The facility currently serves patients throughout Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado and Sutter counties. The center also has plenty of conveniently located parking, new furniture, and an updated, modern look with a warm and welcoming feel. The staff is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English to serve our Sacramento home dialysis patients and families.
